クロ―ゼによる17の二重奏曲、マニャーニによる12の二重奏曲、サーロによるカノン形式の7の二重奏曲、ベールによる9の二重奏曲、グリエール、ホフマン、プレイエル、シュポア、フォルクマル等による22の二重奏曲、モーツァルトによる7の二重奏曲が収録されています。
特に前半は比較的短い二重奏が含まれていますが、全74曲でボリュームのある二重奏曲集となります。
学生同士がアンサンブルの経験を積んだり、レッスンで利用するのに適した二重奏曲集です。
より難易度の高い第2巻も出版されています。
